Julia Dickison
Julia Dickison is the Operations Manager at Holos where she proudly supports both processes on the back end and frontlines of the practice. With over five years of prior experience in Hematology Research as both a clinical research assistant and financial coordinator, Julia’s foundation in medical research and administration is multifaceted with demonstrated success. Before stepping into research, Julia held various administrative roles within Hematology inpatient and outpatient clinics under Nova Scotia Health. These roles deepened her commitment to client-centered care and honed her strengths in coordination, communication, and systems management.
In her early 20s, Julia co-managed a local small sustainable business, The Windbag Company, crafting durable bags from recycled ship sails out of Lunenburg, NS— a project that fostered her entrepreneurial spirit and community values.
Julia’s professional path is deeply informed by her personal healing journey. Living with an autoimmune condition and chronic inflammation from a young age has guided her toward a lifelong commitment to healing and wellness. She credits a number of mentors and practitioners for helping her connect with her own inner healing wisdom, leading her to explore and embody somatic practices, nutrition, mindfulness-based movement, and trauma-informed healing modalities that have significantly improved her experience and lessened chronic pain symptoms.
At Holos, Julia integrates all of these experiences—professional, personal, and practical—into her role. She is honored to support the clinicians and broader team, and to help create the structure and support needed for community members to reconnect with their innate healing wisdom and increased potential for authentic expression.
