Amy DeBaie
As an Advanced Practice Nurse, I will be committed to pioneering evidence-based, holistic approaches to mental health care. My focus in becoming a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAT) is to bridge the gap between traditional psychiatric treatments and emerging, innovative therapies. By integrating trauma-informed care, harm reduction and solution-focused principles, I aim to expand access to compassionate, equitable mental health solutions for individuals with treatment-resistant mental health conditions. My mission is to be at the forefront of policy advocacy, education, and clinical innovation to reshape psychiatric nursing and support the future of mental health care.
Pursuit of Graduate Studies and Career Goals
My decision to pursue graduate studies stems from a deep-seated passion for mental health equity, patient advocacy, and evidence-based treatment innovations. With over a decade of experience in psychiatric nursing, I have witnessed firsthand the need for adjunct alternative patient-centred interventions. My goal is to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist specializing in Ketamine and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAT) to help individuals suffering from treatment-resistant mental illness and end-of-life distress.
